Community Impact Update

At American Community Bank, we stand behind the Northwest Indiana community. Here are some details on the new programs offering support and relief for local communities negatively impacted by the unusual circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic.


Paycheck Protection Program

The bank is an active participant in the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) made available through the Small Business Administration (SBA). It is designed to help small businesses continue to meet payroll needs despite temporary reduced income. To date the bank has provided the following assistance to the NWI area:

Processed over $20.5 million in aid to date

Secured aid for 281 businesses

Helped 2,651 employees preserve their jobs


Coronavirus Hardship Relief Program

The bank's own Coronavirus Hardship Relief Program, designed to help residential mortgage customers needing relief options due to temporary reduced income. To date the bank has provided the following assistance to the NWI area:

Provided relief for over $5.9 million worth of loans

Helped many local friends and neighbors preserve home ownership
